Showing the Benefitz

A 1993 Polar 92EM Monitor Guillotine has provided the company with cutting-edge quality in the pressroom while a 1989 Komori Sprint S228P has given them the extra press power that their increasing workload demands.

The four colour press was the company’s first, and provided them with a significant boost in production, and quality, according to Geoff Bays, print manager at Benefitz.

The new Polar guillotine replaced an older model and has also made a major difference , Geoff says: “We had an existing Polar guillotine, but it was a bit older. We do a lot of repetitive trimming so the additional automation and productivity of the new model has made life a lot easier.”

Benefitz has a long-standing relationship with APM, having invested in a Komori press from the company several years ago. The service and quality that went with the press inspired Benefitz to stay with APM, according to Geoff.

For the last 14 years, Benefitz has been providing high quality print and service to customers throughout Auckland and indeed New Zealand.

The company started life as an ad agency, but when a small printshop became available on the North Shore, Benefitz’ owners took the opportunity to start running some presses.

The company has built a good name by producing high quality work and has remained in the public eye not just for its quality output, but also through a series of high profile sponsorships, including one for North Harbour Rugby this year.

It has built Benefitz into a strong one stop shop for design, digital and offset printing.

The Komori presses supplied by APM have provided “brilliant results”, according to Geoff. “We produce a wide variety of work on the presses. There’s a lot of long run flyers and circulars, things like that, and it all looks very professional,” he says.

With a large client base across the country, Benefitz is growing all the time: “We have been taking on more and more staff as our business continues to grow, Geoff says. “It’s definitely good times for us.”
