The company, founded in Adelaide 12 years ago by managing director Robert Malliotis and sales director Brian Shephard, has also been capped numerous times at the National Print Awards.
These golden accolades bring the total the company has won to 23. These include world-wide Best in Class awards three times, plus Fasson awards, National Print Awards, Australian Packaging Awards, South Australian and Northern Territory PICA awards, TLMI Awards in the United States, Asia Star Packaging Awards and FINAT Gold Medals.
Adelaide Spectrum Labels, with its 17 employees and two Sanki narrow web presses, supplies labels to the boutique to medium sized wine producers as well as the HBA, pharmaceutical and general markets. The company will soon add a third Sanki press as part of a $2m press and prepress upgrade.
The company’s local competitor, Collotype, also received a FINAT International Gold award, making Australia the only country to win more than two of the 18 awards presented.
