SprintaPrint first to achieve highest green accreditation from PIAA

Administrated by the Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA), the SGPCP is a multi-level environmental management certification system specifically designed for the printing industry.

David Peck, managing director of SprintaPrint says the certification program is designed to help printing companies meet their environmental responsibilities and go above and beyond compliance.

He says, “SGPCP is based on the international and independently assessed ISO14001 framework, which SprintaPrint achieved in 2007.”

Peck continues, “The added advantage of the SGPCP is that it is tailored to meet the business requirements of a printing company, particularly the demands of ever changing trends in managing environmental responsibility.”

As well as the environmental advantages of complying with Level Three certification, Perk says the achievement tells the industry and our clients that we have reached a higher benchmark of better managing our waste, recycling, energy and water use, and air emissions.

Apart from the obvious environmental advantages of complying with Level Three certification, this achievement tells the industry and clients that SprintaPrint has reached a higher benchmark of better managing waste, recycling, energy and water use, and air emissions.

Perk says, “The regulatory regime is only going to get tougher for all industry, so a certification process such as SGPCP can only help printers to meet their obligations before more draconian measures are forced on us.”
