Ben Eaton, general manager of Starleaton says, “What makes KAPAplast unique is its superb flatness, resistance to bowing and ease of fabrication. It is a foam-cored board made from dense polyurethane, not polystyrene like other locally manufactured foam boards.”
He continues, “3D modelers, POP fabricators and interior signage producers love working with KAPAplast as it shapes well and retains a nice clean, paintable edge when cut.”
Ample stocks of KAPAplast – which is made in Germany by Alcan Composites – have arrived in Starleaton’s warehouses in 20mm thickness, with 10mm and 5mm also soon available. Stock sheet size is 1530mm x 3050mm with oversize sheet up to 2000mm x 4000mm available.
Eaton also says, “Best of all, KAPAplast has primed facings which give you exceptional printability and ink adhesion for UV Inkjet, Screen and even paint.
“The same facings also mean you have a permanent hinge when grooved, and a board that stays flat even in extreme circumstances, like when vinyl or graphics are applied to one side only.”
