Sydney printer in court case with Spicers

Kingsgrove-based printer Press 11 has fronted the Supreme Court to see the business wound up, with major creditor Spicers in attendance.

Calls to Press 11 are currently being answered by an outsourced reception who confirmed the printer has been shut down permanently following its owner’s death, the identity of the deceased owner is unknown.

A hearing was held on September 6 at the Supreme Court at Law Courts Building Queens Square in NSW to wind up the company at the request of plaintiff Spicers Australia.

Australian Printer understands the paper merchant is owed $13,000 from Press 11, however further details of the case are not known.

A notice on the ASIC website reads, “An application for the winding up of Printing Kingsgrove Pty Ltd was commenced by the plaintiff Spicers Australia Pty Ltd on 04/08/2016.”

The lawyer handling the case, Michael O’Neill was contacted for comment but advised he was not at liberty to pass on confidential client information. Spicers Australia was also approached but did not provide a comment on the hearing or its results by deadline.

Press 11 provided printing for labels, digital, signage and promotional market, it also offered services in print management and logistics.
