TharsternSQL is a full-service MIS solution including estimating and job costing, workflow and production management, shop floor data capture; JDF integration and a full suite of e-Commerce functionality including online variable data and PDF generation that powerfully integrates with the MIS solution.

With the signup of the first TharsternSQ Luser in Australia (Whirlwind Print) and a growing interest from Australian printers in a new MIS offering to the market, Mosaic opened an office in Hawthorn, Vic on September 1.

Mosaic is extremely pleased to be working with Whirlwind on their installation project as the overall flexibility of the TharsternSQL solution is ideally suited to the demanding business model of Whirlwind, who as an innovative team has always sought the best technologies available to improve their offering to a rapidly growing customer base.

Paul Cook heads up the Mosaic Melbourne office, having joined the company in New Zealand early 2005 from Tharnstern International in the UK. Cook was with Tharnstern UK for seven years in a number of senior roles in the product development, sales and as the project manager of some of Tharnstern’s largest user sites.

Lynda Rees, who has an extensive history in print and has worked with a number of MIS products and suppliers, joins Mosaic Auckland in and account management role.

The TharnsternSQL solution has recently been reformatted to sell in a Suite License format to break down the preconceptions that the product is only suited for the ’big boys’. Both Tharnstern and Mosaic have noted a growing trend for the small to medium companies to place an emphasis on investment in a good MIS infrastructure as a means of creating a solid foundation for the business, which is about more than just machinery on the plant floor.
