Trade printer LEP Colour to triple in size

The company, based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, is moving across town from its site in Warana to Forest Glen, closer to the regional hub of Maroochydore.

The printer said the new 2,200sqm site will vastly improve its production workflow; its current home spans two buildings, while the new site offers “the opportunity to expand and gain greater production efficiencies”.

It will house the company’s pair of A1 four-colour Ryobi presses, as well as its full bindery and Agfa CTP systems.

LEP chief executive John Bromfield said: “The new premises will underpin our growth plans for the years ahead, and reflect the strength of our core business – as a national trade-exclusive printer.”

He said the move would allow the printer to “structure our production workflow more efficiently”, creating quicker turnaround times and ensuring excellent customer service and high-quality print at a competitive market price.

Low prices and speeds are the lynchpins of the trade supplier’s model. It recently announced a guarantee of 30-hour turnarounds on business cards, which start at $30 per 1,000.
