Vale: Brian Kemp

Brian Kemp, a former president of the Tasmanian branch of the Printing and Visual Communication Association (PVCA), recently passed away on 12 July, at the age of 89.

Kemp was a highly regarded figure in Tasmania’s print and visual media sector.

Throughout his career, he contributed significantly to the advancement of the industry, demonstrating unwavering leadership, commitment to professional excellence, and deep community involvement.

“It is with a sad heart to hear of Brian’s passing, and the Visual Media Association send our deepest condolences and thoughts to his family,” VMA board director for Tasmania Tony Bertrand said.

“As a former industry association board officer representing Tasmania, Brian displayed leadership and dedication to the association, a true representation of his character and leadership for the Tasmanian industry. Vale Brian Kemp.”

A service to celebrate his life was held on 21 July, at St David’s Cathedral in Hobart, Tasmania, where he was surrounded by people who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Acquired Brain Injury Association of Tasmania in his memory.
