The Sprinter team caught up with Velfex managing director Ben Carroll at FESPA, who talked us through the company’s expertise in heat transfer and its relationship with US-based Hotronix.

Velflex was on the Stahls Hotronix stand at FESPA in Munich as a distributor of Hotronix presses in Australia.

“We are so enthusiastic about the product so Stahls Hotronix asked us to come over because we love our engagement and involvement with their brand,” Carroll said, adding that the experience also expands his own understanding and knowledge of the Hotronix range and the relationships globally.

“We are working with the Stahls Hotronix team and strengthening that relationship so that Velflex can better support our own customers with products, tips and tricks and training. Obviously, the stronger our relationship with Stahls Hotronix, the better we can supply our own customers in Australia,” he added.

Carroll confirmed that several Australians visited the stand during the four day show.

“It’s been great – we’re hoping to be able to grow the Hotronix distribution in Australia and to make sure that it’s well represented Australia wide,” he said, adding that Velflex has been supplying Hotronix presses for about four years.

“Over those four years, interest in these machines have ramped up; especially in the last two years a DTF and heat transfer printing has boomed and garment decoration is driving growth in heat press.”
