Victoria’s Enviro Print Group wins big at regional IPA awards

Victoria-based Enviro Print Group has taken out three awards at the recent Innovation Print Awards (IPA) 2022, hosted by Fujifilm Business Innovation.

The annual competition is open to all users of Fujifilm Business Innovation graphic communications solutions across the Asian region.

Enviro Print Group was the winner of the POS category and the runner up for the poster and annual report categories. Other winners from Australia include Digital print Australia, which won the catalogue category and The Print Department which was the runner up in the same category.

In its 15th year, IPA congratulated the 47 winners from 10 countries across the Asia Pacific region for winning the awards.

There was a total of 193 (single) submissions for 25 categories – with the most competitive categories in brochure, catalogues and leaflets and packaging and labels. Fujifilm Business Innovation Australia said over 40 entries were received for each of these categories.

It added that the entries under brochures, catalogues and leaflets and packaging and labels categories grew more than double of last year demonstrating the demand for short run packaging and labels.

In addition, it said brands are looking for more impact and appeal from their packaging to entice customers and reach them quickly, and that digital print packaging allows for shorter run length, just-in-time delivery, and a reduced minimum order quantity (MOQ) requirement as product lifecycle becomes shorter.

“What we saw, what is trending and what we noticed this year – digital packaging in this competition has taken off and was one of the most significant categories we judged,” head judge for IPA 2022 Paul Callaghan said.

“In fact, we had to split into two sub-categories, rigid packaging and carton packaging. If you think digital packaging was lagging in any way, I can assure you, it is here and has come of age.”

Out of 47 winning entries, 34 were printed on Iridesse Production Press or Revoria Press PC1120, including the winner of the Best Innovation Award, Winson Enterprise from Hong Kong.

The winning applications will be showcased in the Fujifilm Business Innovation Graphic Communication showroom in Tokyo, Japan and in regional graphic communication industry events.
