Visual Industries Suppliers Association (VISA) general manager Peter Harper says the feedback from both visitors and exhibitors at Visual Impact/Image Expo, the southern hemisphere’s largest exhibition for the sign, screen and related industries, was overwhelmingly positive.
“We attracted a lot of new visitors, and good quality visitors who came with their chequebooks,” says Harper. “The exhibitors did good business, some even said it was the best show they’d ever participated in.”
Exhibition space for Visual Impact/Image Expo sold out months in advance, with a waiting list of exhibitors keen to show their wares.
Harper says many people who weren’t exhibiting this year expressed interest in doing so next year, and already half of the 2006 space is sold out. VISA is now working to secure more space for next year’s show so more exhibitors will have the chance to present their products.
Visual Impact will continue to be combined with the Image Expo for the next five years, an agreement recently signed securing this in both Melbourne and the Gold Coast as well as Sydney. “Combining the two shows has proved to be a good move,” says Harper.
Melbourne and the Gold Coast host the show on alternative years, while the Sydney event is held annually. The next Visual Impact/Image Expo will take place in Melbourne in May, with the Sydney show to follow in November.
