The EDP association said that the award for the Nuvera 288 was based on the product's speed and high production, image quality and the pass through programming feature.
Xerox claims that the Nuvera 288 can run two-sided prints with image quality equivalent to offset printing standards, and that it can produce books, catalogues, bills, statements and other graphic-intensive documents at 288 duplex impressions per minute (144 two-sided pages).
Xerox said that its pass through programming keeps the Nuvera 288 DPS running even if one of the engines is stopped, providing continued productivity and uptime for commercial print operations and in-house printing facilities.
Valentin Govaerts, senior vice president of production and the graphics arts industry at Xerox Europe, says, "This award is an endorsement of our continuing leadership in digital printing innovation and our commitment to provide customers with the right technology, the right workflow and the right business model."
