Bunting and scratch ink big draws for Foxcil

Sydney trade printer Foxcil brought a whole bunch of new products to PrintEx19 with owner Roger Kirwan saying the digital flag bunting and scratch-and-win ink, both of which he invented himself and can be made in-house, have  generated the most interest.

Kirwan said it’s been a busy week on the stand for both himself and sales manager Miro Williams with many visitors wanting to know how he created the scratch-and-win ink which is printed onto cardboard in-house during the printing process at his Sydney factory.

“The digital flag bunting which comes all in one piece supplied on a roll has proven very popular. We invented that about a year ago but we are continuing to educate the market about it and get it out there so it’s been very well received. The scratch-and-win ink is proving of great interest. Everyone wants to know how we did it,” Kirwan told Sprinter.

“It’s all done in house so we don’t have to send it out.”

Kirwan is also using the show to announce he is retiring the brands Creatabull and Roller Poster and instead bring all his product lines under the Foxcil name, best known as a supplier of flexible labels.

“We are also taking the opportunity at this show to simplify our offer so we are retiring the Creatabull and the Roller Poster brands so basically the lead brand is Foxcil now. So Foxcil is the most well known of our brands. The products aren’t changing but they are all just being offered by Foxcil,” Kirwan said.

“Foxcil is now the lead company for everything because our offer has gotten so wide now and includes wrist bands, and temporary tattoos so rather try and differentiate between flexibles we just want to show that Foxcil is more than a label company now.

“I think people think Foxcil is just labels and simple labels but a lot of the labels we are doing now are multi layer, complex constructions and the like.

“So we are relaunching Foxcil but it is now the lead company for everything.”
