PacPrint Q&A: Jet Technologies

David Reece
Sales director, print & finish division
Jet Technologies

When was your company's first PacPrint?

In 2005. We doubled the size of our stand  in 2009 and have increased it by  around 50% in 2013.

Can you name any milestone launches at previous PacPrints?

The KBA Genius 52UV was launched at PacPrint09.

Can you name any milestone sales at previous PacPrints?

PacPrint 2009 was great for us: we sold a KBA Genius 52UV from the stand and were absolutely thrilled, only to sell a second before the exhibition finished.  Two sales worth almost $2 million was a real ‘coming of age’ for us.

PacPrint or PrintEx – what’s your favourite?

PacPrint without a doubt. The quantity and quality of visitors is head and shoulders above PrintEx.

How can customers get the most out of PacPrint?

Plan well in advance with organised meetings early or late in the day with those that you must meet. Leave the balance of the day to look around to give yourself an opportunity to see as much as possible.

How will you entice customers to invest?

Clients have two choices: invest and move forward or do nothing and fall behind. More than ever, it is important to show clients a strong value proposition and part of that is our strong track record.

What will you be showing at PacPrint13?

We are excited about a number of really big products for the company. We will officially launch a UV inkjet solution for packaging and labels. Conventional print also moves forward with some exciting new flexo plate and software solutions, as well as a strong focus on efficient print via a range of cleaning solutions for press parts, aniloxes and other components.

Can you give us any other hints about your stand or plans for the show?

Not too much at this stage! You will have to wait and see but take it from me, there will be strong interest around our new product releases.

PacPrint13 takes place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on 21-25 May 2013. Visit www.pacprint.com.au.
