PageSet installs Oce Arizona to bring UV wide-format in-house

The firm, based in the Melbourne suburb of Mount Waverley, said the Océ Arizona 550GT and ProCut system was already finding favour among its client base of advertising agencies and marketing departments.

PageSet chief executive John Della said: “We can discuss marketing ideas with companies and immediately show them the collaterals that will support a full-blown campaign, such as POS materials, mailers, and cut-out signs.

“Our graphics people are also paper engineers and they love exploring ideas on the Arizona and ProCut systems.

“The important thing about this type of work, of course, is that it’s value-added. It gives us good margins in areas where few other companies can compete,” he added.

Della said PageSet had been able to bring UV work in-house, when previously “we didn’t have control over the quality or timing of the outsourced work, which meant we were putting often critical deadlines at risk”.

PageSet was established in 1990 as a pre-press bureau, and is well known for managing CTP facilities within several major Melbourne printers. It continues to offer sophisticated repro services alongside digital print from its Kodak Nexpress.
