PIAA focuses on green program at PrintEx

The association, which is also expected to announce its new chief executive at the show, said the ‘Lean and Green’ program offers print businesses the opportunity to gain Sustainable Green Print (SPG) certification and improve productivity.

Ian Walz, national manager for learning and development, said the ‘Lean and Green’ program should be a major drawcard at PrintEx11. “We’re aiming the program at businesses with more than 20 staff who are interested in making gains in productivity, reducing costs, increasing profitability, and who also want to enjoy the benefits of having an audited environmental compliance certification,” he said.

Printing Industries is also hosting a hospitality centre where visitors can “recharge their mobile phones, collect faxes, enjoy a coffee and meet Printing Industries staff”, they said.

The organisation will be giving away show bags at its stand and offering visitors the opportunity to be part of a $2,100 giveaway.
