Team Kodak and Konica secure solid show sales

Karen Simpson, manager of the digital division, Shout Graphics, told the PacPrint Daily that the company’s relationship with Konica Minolta helped seal the deal.

“We have a good relationship with Konica Minolta. All of our digital is Konica Minolta; we have three devices, a C8000 and two high-speed black-and-whites.”

Shout opted for a Nexpress with extra long sheet feeder that allows it to print A4 four-up. Simpson also praised the new HD toner as “really sharp”.

The machine was sold by Konica Minolta, while Kodak will look after the support.

The two suppliers are neighbours here at PacPrint and have worked closely over the past two years on the partnership, which centres on the Nexpress platform.

David Procter, general manager production printing at Konica Minolta, said: “The partnership with Kodak has given us an opportunity to provide equipment that allows our customers to take their business to the next level.”

The Nexpress may have been the biggest sale of the day but it was not the only one, as Konica Minolta also clinched two deals, one a Bizhub Press C6000 Professional and the other a C7000 Production.

Kodak also sold a Magnus 800 platesetter with automatic plate loader to CMYKhub in Melbourne, the first device of its kind in Australia.

Kodak Australasia managing director Steve Venn said: “Kodak is committed to growing the graphics services market and with our comprehensive portfolio and expertise we look forward to working with our customers to drive productivity and profitability.”
