AGS gives printers options

According to iCtp the technology brings many of the advantages of CtP to printers using increased plate production and improved pressroom operation.

Ross Gliberthorpe, sales and marketing manager at AGS says, “For smaller printers who know they need to move to CTP, but don’t want to spend the $100,000 for a conventional CTP, the iCtP Patewriter is the perfect solution.”

Gliberthorpe outlines that for a $35,000 investment for the A3 iCtp 2000 model over four years is around $1,000 a month payback (depending on the financing rates available).

He says, “If you divide this by say 200 plates, the average cost per plate to finance is around $5.00, add the plate cost and you have a finished product for well under $10, so the savings stack up really quickly.”
