AllKotes boosts capacity and speed-to-market with new automated kit

Print finishing specialists, AllKotes, has given its screen department a major boost with the installation of an upgraded and highly automated screen machine.

AllKotes general manager Darren Delaney said the machine was sourced through a supplier which AllKotes has a 20 year relationship with and will no doubt boost the capacity and speed-to-market offered by AllKotes, while ensuring high quality standards continue to be met.

“With great excitement, AllKotes has just commissioned a new state of the art automated screen machine with all the bells and whistles. This long anticipated installation adds more fire power and speed to our screen department,” Delaney said.

“With today’s market looking for even greater speeds, quicker turnarounds and shorter make ready times and with all the Covid and transport delays, our new piece of kit is a great addition to our business.”

The new machine has a minimum sheet size of SRA3 up to A1 and is set to boost operational capacity, and importantly reassure AllKotes customers that the company is providing the very latest in technology and quality.

It also offers 17 different spot and speciality coatings giving AllKotes an edge when it comes to firepower and speed-to-market, Delaney said.

“It was very important from an AllKotes perspective that we looked at all options before making our final decision, both digital variants and automated screen.

“In the end based on our large range of products in the screen market and the different applications the decision was made for us. The digital world continues to provide a competitive argument for their devices and we would be silly to rule this out in the future.”

Nautilis Print Finishing

Delaney said the new equipment installation will also support gluing work supplied by Nautilus Print Finishing, which AllKotes acquired two years ago.

“The acquisition of the Nautilus Print Finishing business, which included automated gluing & double sided tape equipment as well as die cutting capabilities plus a new screen machine only strengthens our commitment to our customers.”
