APN opens dozens of new outdoor sites

The outdoor advertising giant today launched 32 new large-format billboard panels, including nine in Brisbane CDB – the first to go live under APN Outdoor’s recent Brisbane City Council tender win – as well as six sites in Sydney and three in Perth.

Another 14 large format panels will go live in Sydney and Brisbane in the middle of next month.

APN Outdoor general manager of marketing Paul McBeth said: “We are always looking to maximise our offerings through highly visible sites that will connect client brands with the right audience.

“Through MOVE [Measurement of Outdoor Visibility and Exposure], we know that our large-format sites deliver 10% higher ‘likelihood-to-see’ when compared to the market average,” added McBeth.

The company has also unveiled another digital billboard in Sydney Airport, its third in the country.

The Outdoor Media Association, which launched MOVE in February, reported last month that the outdoor sector had been “steadily growing” over the first quarter of 2010.
