Armadale council brings work in-house with Ricoh

The council for the growing WA regional centre invested in a Ricoh Pro C900, with a suite of finishing options including a perfect binder, hole puncher, stapler, booklet maker and z-folder.

The council also employed a full-time print production manager to manage the workflow and produce a range of items including promotional material, annual reports and budgets.

Mark Dawson, manager of governance and administration, said: “We used to outsource our work from a variety of different printers, but now we are able to produce those materials in house.

“There are still things that we can’t produce, but we are always increasing the work that we can do, we have been testing business cards and we are looking into producing our letterheads on the press.”

Kathy Wilson, Ricoh’s general manager of business solutions and production, added that the digital vendor was able to help the council deal with the challenge of population growth.

“Ricoh’s production capabilities and team have provided the city of Armadale with a solution and partnership that will see them handle increasing workloads and workflows with confidence, more affordably.”
