ASGA releases updated employment guide

In the wake of the Fair Work Commission’s decision to lift the minimum wage, vary some employment conditions and increase superannuation contributions, the Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA) has updated its comprehensive Employment Guide to help member businesses navigate the changes.

The 70-page ASGA Employment Guide is a resource for businesses and is complemented by a range of Employment Contract Templates to help them ensure they remain compliant with all current guidelines during recruitment and onboarding.

The Employment Guide has now been updated to reflect the 2023-24 Award wage rates, new superannuation contribution requirements and workplace guidelines. 

“This guide is an important resource which has proven very valuable over past years and is part of our commitment to ensuring we provide our member businesses with the resources they need to flourish,” ASGA president Mick Harrold said.

“The updated resources are available through the member portal on our website, signs.org.au. Contract templates are currently under review and will be available in the same location shortly.”

To access the guide and templates, businesses must be ASGA members – but Harrold points out that, with EOFY looming and these changes coming into effect from the first pay period in July, “now is a good time for businesses to consider their options”.
