Frontline will sell DuPont’s digital proofing solutions and will service Esko-Graphic’s CDI range of platesetters.
A relatively young company, Frontline has rapidly developed a strong presence in New Zealand. Taking up the agency for proofing specialists Bestcolor three years ago when there were no Bestcolor installations in the country, Frontline have built it up to become the number one product in the market, with 45 units installed nationwide.
“We have reached an agreement with Frontline, who we are sure will provide a big boost in promoting our range in New Zealand,” said Esko Graphics’ regional manager Peter Henderson.
Esko-Graphics has confirmed its commitment to further invest and grow in the Asia-Pacific region with the establishment of a subsidiary for Australia and New Zealand, Esko-Graphics Pte. Ltd.
Esko-Graphics has been present in Australia & New Zealand since 1994 with service offices in Melbourne and Sydney. This operation has now been expanded to fully deploy localised distribution including Sales, Business Development & Customer Services, with the main office in Melbourne. Besides Australia, Esko-Graphics has established offices in China, Taiwan, India and Korea, reporting into its Singapore-based Asia-Pacific headquarters.
The subsidiary is managed by Peter Henderson. Peter joined Esko-Graphics in 2002, after having worked for many years for a dealer of Esko-Graphics products. “The establishment of a subsidiary is an important milestone in the development of our activities here”, comments Peter Henderson “It confirms that also in the new company we are dedicated to the Australian market and that we are here to stay”.
He says: “Sales and service are handled through the subsidiary, either working directly with end users, mainly in the packaging market or working via distributors or value-added partners”.
Esko-Graphics’ partners are Currie & Co. in Australia and AM International in New Zealand for polyester CtP, IPP in Australia and Frontline in New Zealand for the offset CtP solutions and other related products, and Hygrade Laserdies for the packaging CAD/CAM products in both countries.
Another important new development is the recently started cooperation with Heidelberg who will resell the Esko-Graphics polyester CtP solution under the Heidelberg name Polysetter to Heidelberg’s extensive customer base. Further dealer channels will be developed for selected products.
