Ahmed Fahour, CEO of Australia Post and for many in the print industry public enemy number one, is upgrading his Melbourne mansion in a $4.5m renovation. Fahour who is leading the Australia Post mail strategy of huge price increases with reduced services, earns a base salary of $4.8m. He bought the Hawthorn property known as Invergowrie two years ago for a tad over $20m.

The proposed renovations include an expansion of the internal area of the lavish riverside home, a new pool and garden work. Fahour is Australia’s highest paid civil servant, earning around ten times as much as the prime minister Malcolm Turnbull.
