Australian Paper provides free typeface

However Australian Paper, the manufacturer of Impress, Saxton, Optix and Stephen has embraced the challenge and demonstrated its commitment to design by commissioning a limited edition free typeface to celebrate the relaunch of Impress.

Impress is a comprehensive range of Australian Made double coated A2 papers available in Matt, Gloss and the new Silk finish. Aptly titled Impress the typeface is available online for free.

Designed by Melbourne based 3 Deep Design and constructed by Dalton Maag (UK) Australian paper says the Impress typeface signals a new way of thinking for Impress and a commitment to great Australian design.

Constructed by a series of formal intersecting lines the typeface presents a playful and active series of letterforms in two cuts of dark and lite. Ideal as a detailed display face, Australian Paper says Impress is opulent, flexible and confident and represents a bold new direction for Australian typography.
