The tour to China which will be departing Australia on November 18 2006, follows the successful first stage of a seminar series held in September that received a 4/5 satisfaction rating from attendees.
General manager of Printing Industries NSW, Robert Fuller, says the first seminar session was well received by printers from all states because of a growing awareness of the need to respond to China’s increasingly powerful economic position.
“It’s obvious from the strong response that many companies want to be proactive and learn about both the threats and opportunities,” he says.
Fuller says China has some 94,282 printing companies employing 3.4m people, wherein lies “a lot of opportunities for Australian companies interested in international partnerships.”
More seminars will be held throughout October, with the next two topics being, the in-depth Stage 2A of the seminar series entitled “Competing against China,” and Stage 3A seminar called, “Partnering with China” – focusing on developing cooperative relationships with the country.
Friday November 10, is Stage 2B – “China for Sales Teams,” which continues the competing theme by taking the marketing strategies developed in Stage 2A by the nation’s best print marketing managers and turning these into a practical sales force on-the-ground course which will be held throughout Australia.
Stage 3B – the Tour to China, begins on Saturday November 18 in Beijing and covers the three major print zones of China. Places are still available for all Stages, however tour participants are required to have completed the relevant preparation work from the China in Focus preliminary stages.
