Ball & Doggett names judges for Aust wrapping competition

Ball & Doggett has named its three judges for the Who is Australia’s Greatest Wrapper? competition.

The event will showcase the best of the best in wrap design and installation from around the country, with contestants vying for the top prize and recognition in the industry.

Ball & Doggett is searching for Australia’s greatest wrapper and launched the competition last month. The competition is open to all registered Australian print, sign and display business and the winning wrapper will go FESPA Global Print Expo in Germany in May this year.

The three judges selected for the competition are industry experts with years of experience in sign and display market.

Their expertise and knowledge of the industry will provide valuable insights and guidance to the contestants as they compete for the top prize.

The first judge is Matt Horne, owner and director at Wrap Studio and renowned car wrap designer and installer with many years of experience in the industry.

He has worked on numerous high-profile projects and is an accredited Metamark and Avery Dennison specialist installer. His expertise in installation will ensure that the contestants’ designs are not only visually appealing but also practical and functional.

The second judge is Dan Sefton, international business development executive from Metamark UK, a leading manufacturer of self-adhesive vinyl films for use in the sign-making, digital printing, and graphics industries.

Sefton has been with Metamark UK for over eight years plus and has held various leadership positions within the company.

The third judge is Steve Warn, national self-adhesive and tansfer film manager for Ball & Doggett with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Having previously owning his own business for 10 years before embarking on the sales side of the industry and supplying signage and hardware needs to the industry.

“We are thrilled to have these three experts on board as judges for our wrapping competition,” Ball & Doggett general manager Rob Brussolo said.

“Their expertise and knowledge of the industry will ensure that the competition is fair and objective, and that the contestants receive valuable feedback and guidance.”

The competition is currently accepting entries and open to all registered Australian print, sign and display business across the country. The winner will receive a trip for two to Munich, Germany including spending money, valued at $7500 and recognition in the industry.

Every entry will receive a gift just for entering.
