Bannershop to increase printing power and facility size

Bannershop directors travelled to drupa this year, where they meet with HP directors of the HP Scitex division to discuss further production capacity of the Bannnershop Global Group. During the meeting, Bannershop signed a purchase order for the three large format printers.

Jeff Coleman, sales director of Bannershop says the latest purchase is the third XL 1500 to be bought by the company, however the printer has not yet been installed as the company is in the process of moving to a larger Leichardt facility.

“We haven’t found our new facility yet but we need something larger in order to increase production space as well as warehouse space.”

According to Coleman while not short on customers, the company’s business is somewhat restricted due to the limited size of the operation facility. Also, the company’s maximum printing width is 3.2 metres, which is expected to increase to 5 metres with the commissioning of the new XL 1500.

He says, “The move to increase production is part of a strategy where we need to increase our stockholding on the retractable banner business, which we currently can’t keep up with due to space. Also, the increase in printing width will take care of our billboard business.”

Coleman concludes, “To welcome our new printers, we will introduce a low cost special on a number of media including Yuppo, SAV and Vinyl.”
