BCH Print Services Installs New DocuColor 2045 & DocuTech 90

Steve Beard, BCH Print Services director, says, “BCH chose to expand to a digital printing service utilising technology from Fuji Xerox Australia because we wanted to give our customers more choice. Whether it’s a print run of 500 or 100, the key advantage of digital printing for BCH is that it allows us to meet our clients needs every time, while also giving us the ability to say yes to a wider variety of jobs.”

According to Beard, the DocuColor 2045 brought greater digital colour image quality and productivity to BCH, delivering 45 colour pages per minute at 600dpi resolution. Some of the features that attracted Beard included its speed, its ability to print onto heavier weight stocks and the flexibility regarding the number of different applications it can handle.
“The quality from the DocuColor 2045 is simply amazing. We now have more control over the quality of the colour while our ability to produce PMS colours via digital has greatly increased,” added Beard.

Since installing the DocuColor 2045, BCH’s colour printing work has increased by approximately 50 per cent. According to Beard, it has also allowed the company to delve into some new and different applications like short-run, four-colour business cards, some promotional work for clients and a small amount of variable data work involving the production of personalised postcards.

The DocuTech 90 prints at 90 pages per minute and features easy to maintain customer replaceable fuser and toner units. High levels of output quality are achieved with the units 600X600dpi laser. An option is also incorporated to allow the unit to run at 600X1200 dpi at 45 pages per minute to produce even further enhanced output from Postscript.

BCH is producing plenty of black and white work for clients, including manuals, and is also doing a small amount of variable data work in the form of personalised newsletters.
