Blue Star cuts Glen Draper as Agile rollout continues

Blue Star group chief executive Chris Mitchell told ProPrint: “On the back of the ongoing Agile transformation, Glen Draper’s role has been made redundant and he has left the business.”

Draper joined Blue Star via the Craftsman Press acquisition in 1998.

Brad Hoffman will step up from his role as sales manager for Victoria to the newly created position of general manager, Blue Star Print Victoria. Hoffman has been with the company for four years.

The role reports directly into Blue Star Print managing director Sasha Dobrovolsky.

Blue Star has also formed two teams tasked with further developments of Agile, the growth strategy based around proprietary software announced earlier this year.

Mitchell said Agile is now fully deployed in NSW, and one of the new teams will be responsible for rolling out the strategy in Victoria and ACT.

The second team is tasked with developing product offerings based around the Agile platform.

The first product is its ‘Edge’ tool, a print management portal aimed at Blue Star customers that are outside the remit of the group’s IQ arm.
