Bottcher races ahead with demo of roller savings and video game

The roller supplier is also giving visitors a taste of its “ROI challenge”.

The friendly staff at the stand will be taking visitors through Böttcher’s in-house research, which they claim proves that using cheaper rollers instead of high-quality products will cost more in the long-run.

The company said printers that use Böttcher OEM rollers could actually save 62.5% over cheaper alternatives.

The research points out that savings in areas such as “reductions in reprinted work, higher productivity because of less roller-related downtime, faster wash-ups and higher quality of the end product, particularly in screens and solids”.

Managing director Mitch Mulligan told the Daily that the company was able to verify its ROI challenge by utilising a wide variety of data due to its 285 years in the international market.

“It was good to be able to share results with our partners in Australia,” he said.

“The study reflected the longevity of our product. Usually when a price seems too good to be true it’s because it is. Our rollers may be more expensive, but they will last for three or four years as opposed to one or two years.”

The supplier is also keeping things competitive with a video game showdown on its stand.

Prizes up for grabs include a day with a Ducati racing bike, a joy ride in a V8 Supercar and some $200 gift vouchers.

Beyond the report and competition, Böttcher has plenty of products to demonstrate to visitors, including its Pre Aqualis roller, which is a new non-alcohol roller. It is also showing a number of its existing products at the expo.
