BPO wins $700,000 govt contract

OCA subsidiary BPO Intelligence has won a WA government contract worth almost $700,000 to print and distribute promotional material to recruit overseas students to study in Australia’s west.

The three-year $693,191 contract will see the education-focused printer provide integrated printing, storage, distribution, tracking and reporting of promotional material including posters, flyers and brochures for Education and Training International (ETI).

A WA government agency, ETI recruits and enrols students from around the world into courses and exchange programs at WA schools, TAFEs and English language centres. The promotional material contains information about available courses, opportunities and life in Australia.

OCA Group chief executive Naresh Gulati says BPO will distribute the promotional materials on demand from its warehouses in India to 350 agencies representing ETI all over the world, via an online ordering system.

“We provide one convenient platform, including sophisticated monitoring tools, for ordering and distribution of anything needed to promote WA as an international student destination, from anywhere in the world,” he says.

Gulati says this is the second time in a row BPO has won this contract on a competitive tender, the first beginning in 2011.

“The contract reinforces the client’s confidence in the quality of our services and the good market response to them. We strive to provide better value to clients and constant innovation,” he says.

BPO won the tender, which ends in April 2017, over two rival bidders.

Gulati says OCA provides overseas promotional services to 80 per cent of Australian universities and almost all major TAFEs.
