Canon Australia has appointed Gavin Gomes as director of Canon Business Services with his tenure set to commence on July 4.

Gomes will be responsible for leading the B2B function of Canon, Canon Business Services which includes Business Services, Production Printing, Canon Finance Australia and he will also become a director of Harbour IT.

Gomes has previously held several senior executive leadership roles with global blue chip companies such as Australia Post Group, IBM, Procter & Gamble and Telstra.

On his appointment, Gomes comments, “I am looking forward to leading an integrated team in Canon Australia’s business services at this exciting time.

“I am interested to find ways we can work with our channel partners to help streamline our customer’s business processes.”

Managing director of Canon Oceania, Yusuke Mizoguchi says he is pleased to have a leader with knowledge and experience in the B2B arena join the team.

“I am confident he will be an asset to our team and contribute to the dynamic culture of our organisation. We will continue to invest in diversifying our solutions and partnerships to place our customer’s needs at the forefront of our business.” 

Interim director of Canon Business Services, David Klineberg will move across to Canon’s subsidiary Converga into an expanded role as chief operating officer (COO).
