The digital manufacturer has just installed an ImagePress C7000VP in the Kwik Kopy in Chatswood, Sydney, complementing installations of Image Press models in nearby Artarmon and the Melbourne suburb of Tullamarine.
Paul Thompson, Canon’s general manager of print production services, told ProPrint that the customer wins were recognition of Canon’s strong relationship with Kwik Kopy.
“We are a recognised supplier with Kwik Kopy, and we have got some great wins recently,” he said.
“Kwik Kopy Artarmon’s upgrade to the C6000 model is an indication that they substantially increased volumes and were ready to move from a light production device to an ImagePress.”
Kwik Kopy Artarmon’s business manager, Luke Slattery, said the upgrade had brought a dramatic increase in turnaround times and described Canon’s service as “excellent”.
“The paper handling on the machine is excellent and has cut out a lot of the manual labour, which we had to do on the previous machine,” he said.
“We are finding a lot of customers are really impressed with the quality of their work and surprised by how quickly we are turning it around,” added Slattery.
