Canon launches mono imageRunner Advance models

The 8085, 8095 and 8105 machines offer print speeds of 85ppm, 95ppm and 105ppm respectively, with Canon targeting the latest models at CRDs and the print-for-pay markets.

Canon is pitching the machines, which can print at a maximum resolution of 1200dpi, at printers that do not require the higher volume capabilities of its ImagePress platform.

Peter Brittliff, product manager for production printing systems at Canon Australia, told ProPrint that the series will be available to the Australian market in the second half of 2010.

“The new black and white light-production models are ideal for in-plants and print-for-pay companies that want to provide exceptional image quality and quick turn-around for their customers,” he said.

Each model in the 8000 series features optional finishing modules that include professional punching, stapling, saddle-stitching, booklet-trimming, and folding.

Meanwhile, Canon has also introduced the ImageRunner Advance 6000 series, which targets office environments. There are three models available in speeds of 55ppm, 65ppm and 75ppm.
