Canon ready for Impact

Exhibitors are on their mark to kick off the Visual Impact show in Sydney next week, with wide format technologies, experts and consumables flying in to Sydney Olympic Park. To avoid queuing at the door, Canon Professional Print is offering to pre-register visitors to save them time and get straight into exploring the kit and workshops on show. This year at stand E8, Canon will bring a range of Océ print technologies and finishing solutions, including UV flatbed printers and the labour saving Océ ProCut automated finishing system.

The Canon team will be showing how to get the most out of this combination, incorporating ProCut workflow tools and EngView 3D point of sales and packaging template based software to develop profitable applications. An Océ ColorWave 650 Poster Printer will be turning out high quality posters, even on plain paper, alongside the Océ ColorWave 900 wide format printer, which Canon says is the first wide format machine to exploit Memjet’s maximum speed of 18m a minute, making it the fastest wide format printer in the world. Canon’s international product manager for the ColorWave 900, Florian Hohlmann, will be present at the show as will Attilio Mainoli President and CEO for the leading Arizona technology solution. Both of these international guests will be present to touch base with Australian customers and share their global expertise and knowledge. Océ chief executive Anton Schaaf, who was recently in Australia to open the company’s new print showroom, says Canon sees many growth opportunities and new applications opening up, including in wide format, and is investing for the future. Visual Impact Sydney will open next Tuesday, September 9, with a special late night running till 8pm for drinks and networking.
