Canon taking orders for Océ Arizona 2200 series

Following its launch at drupa, Canon says it is now taking Australian orders for its new Océ Arizona 2200 series of UV flatbed printer.

Canon is touting the machine for its speed, with it capable of producing prints at up to 63.4m2 per hour, however Canon says this has not compromised the quality of output.

Canon product manager for display graphics Thomas Mckerrow says, “As well as making it easier to meet tight deadlines on even the most exacting work, these versatile printers will allow businesses to capitalise on new market opportunities and explore a wider range of applications – from sign and display, right through to the most demanding high-end work like fine art prints and photo reproduction.”

Canon says the Arizona 2200 series caters to the wide format market with its additional features such as the new UV curing system which reduces heat output, making it well suited to heat-sensitive media like film and self-adhesive PVCs.

The series also comes with the option of a new, fully-automated Océ ProCut digital cutting system, for smooth workflow across a range of display graphic applications and substrates.

Mckerrow says, “The opportunity for businesses in the wide format space to grow and diversify has probably never been greater, and the speed, efficiency and quality of the Arizona 2200 series provides exactly the kind of technology they need to evolve with today’s exciting and constantly changing market.”
