Canon wins BLI 2016 Line of the Year

Canon’s Image Runner Advances series has won the Buyer’s Laboratory LLC’s (BLI) 2016 Line of the Year award for its ‘impressive reliability performance’.

The enterprise printer was recognised by the organisation as a significant player in the digital imaging sector after ‘rigorous two-month laboratory evaluations’.

According to BLI, the criteria for awards include ‘reliability, image quality, ease of use and productivity’, and it considers machines capable of producing low to high volume jobs.

BLI editor George Mikolay says, “From its exceptional reliability and ease of use, to its innovation and customizability, Canon’s A3 line is the industry benchmark among its competitors.”

BLI researchers say thorough lab testing demonstrated the Canon machine’s consistency of quality.

“To run a combined total of 2,885,000 impressions with just 11 misfeeds recorded is remarkable,” says director of research and lab services Pete Emory.

Canon’s A3 MFPs have a string of accolades to its name, including 12 A3 Pick Awards in a pool of 17 different models.
