Canon’s Drupa stand boosted by Oce

The stand will measure 3,750sqm – 12% bigger than the one it booked for Drupa 2008 – and the fourth largest overall at the exhibition; however, this time around it will incorporate Océ, which it acquired in March 2010.

Canon European professional print director David Preskett said the manufacturer aims to show that there is "more to print than printing" by showcasing innovative applications and highlighting customer successes on the stand.

It will be bringing a number of its customers to Drupa, so that printers can see practical examples of how some companies are using Canon products and applications.

Preskett said: "I would urge visitors who are looking for inspiration to come to the Canon stand and see that there’s much more to print than printing.

"Our stand will be an integrated stand with a variety of technologies and printers will also have access to valuable advice from independent business consultants.

"The main focus of our stand will be on showcasing customer success stories and the innovative applications produced by our customers, so the range of equipment we will have on the stand will be there to show how they’ve produced those applications.

"There will be a range of different areas on the stand including printing for photo services and commercial print – to name but a few."
