CMYKhub WA enhances wide format offering with new Fujifilm flatbed printer

CMYKhub WA has announced the installation of a new flatbed printer in the wide format department.

The Fujifilm Acuity Prime 30 is a significant addition to CMYKhub’s printer fleet across Australia.

After extensive research and testing, CMYKhub selected the Fujifilm Acuity Prime 30 for its exceptional quality provided by Ricoh Gen 5 printheads, dual rows of printheads offering additional speed and the capability to run 90 sq/m per hour (30 boards), and a compact footprint fitting seamlessly into the existing factory space, the new printer promises enhanced performance and efficiency.

Excellent local service, with technicians trained specifically on this machine, also influenced the purchase decision. The automated self-cleaning feature was also a deal-maker, as it protects the device in Western Australia’s warm climate.

“This is the first Fujifilm Acuity we have purchased. It replicates what we currently offer in WA and other sites. This installation was about replacing an old AGFA Anapurna that had reached the end of its life. It has been a workhorse for our business, but it’s time to update it and provide our WA customers with a new machine with improved quality and speed,” said Alan Nankervis, national wide format manager at CMYKhub.

“This will round out our recent wide-format investment, with the new EFIs expected to be installed over the next 6-8 months. This will allow us to broaden our range of next-day dispatch products nationally instead of having varied capability at each site,” he continued.

The installation of the new printer is scheduled for 10 – 15 June.

All rigid media orders placed between 7-11 June will be prioritised for production in the Victorian Hub.

Orders placed after 11 June will be produced on the new flatbed printer after 15 June 2024.

CMYKhub WA says it appreciates the continued support and patience of its customers during this transition period and looks forward to delivering exceptional print results with the new equipment.
