Colourworx focuses on green print with HP Designjet

Shaun Jackson, managing director of the Manukau City-based company, said: “This printer will enable us to be a leader in the emerging green print market and to also explore opportunities at government and corporate levels.

“At present we are product testing a range of biodegradable and other environmentally friendly substrates to ensure we go to market with a comprehensive green offering,” he added.

Jackson (pictured) said the past 15 months had been tough on the New Zealand economy, but that, as a company, “you can’t sit still”.

“You need to build on your strengths and invest in technology that will enable you to provide total solutions,” he said.

Colourworx is produces vehicle graphics, retail point-of-sale, displays, flags, banners, and interior and exterior decor.

Last year, the wide-format Designjet L65500 machine was named Environmental Digital Printer 2009 by the European Digital Press Association (EDP).
