Their presence was well worth it, with Creo selling the country’s first two Lotem 400s right off the stand. Specialty Press in Aubury, New South Wales, purchased one of the units, along with an Integris 400 proofing solution. Creo also sold two scanners, an iQsmart 2 and an iQsmart 3.

These products made up the main focus of the Creo display, along with the Brisque and Prinergy workflow systems and the Veris CIJ (continuous inkjet) proofing system, which offers 1500x1500dpi, extended gamut and high-speed output. The Integris proofing system, a joint project of Creo and Epson was also on display and come in four page (400) and eight page (800) versions. For both proofing solutions, this was the first time they had been displayed in Australia.

According to Creo Australia marketing manager Mark Wilton, the sales and overall traffic on the stand was very encouraging indeed.

“We have received a lot of business from the combined effort of the show and the Creo VIP tour,” says Wilton.

“We see the industry is bubbling again and is not going through as big a downturn as we were thinking.”
