Daniel Watts has announced that he will be stepping down from his role as managing director of Coritex.
In a message shared with customers, Watts stated:
“It is with sadness that I have decided to step down as managing director of Coritex.”
Watts joined Coritex as business development manager in 2023 and was appointed managing director in October 2024.
“I will be leaving behind an incredible team which is focused on being the best in the industry. I am honoured to have been part of that team and know that they will continue to achieve milestones and be the go-to for all things printable fabrics, dye-sublimation papers, protection papers, silicone & TPE edging, etc,” he said.
“The past 2.5 years has taught me what it is like to work in a high performing team, with an enviable range of products. It is something I will miss.”
Watts shared that his departure comes as he plans to step back and focus on personal matters and projects, as well as take some downtime over the festive season.
“I would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank-you to all those I have had the privilege of spending time with. Clients, industry counterparts, and competitors. All have been incredibly welcoming and supportive, and I have been lucky to have had their guidance and trust.”
Looking ahead, Watts confirmed the transition of leadership to Neal Van Der Merwe.
“I’m pleased to leave the business in the very capable hands of Neal Van Der Merwe, whom many of you already know well.
“Over the next few weeks, I’ll be working closely with Neal and the team to ensure a smooth handover, so you continue to receive the same high-quality products and service you expect from Coritex.”
