DES focusing on solutions at PacPrint

Russell Cavenagh, sales director at DES says the PacPrint display will not only focus on meeting demand for improved profitability and productivity, but help businesses identify new revenue streams and higher margin business. He says, “We’ll be showcasing game changing print solutions which offer the lowest total cost per square foot ever available in this country, and dramatically reduced turnaround times, while new LED imaging solutions not only open up new applications but deliver litho-like quality, and can reduce ink costs while delivering a satin, matte and gloss print effects.”

Leading the print solutions will be two UV hybrid printers – the Vutek QS2Pro two-metre grand format model which opens up new opportunities with its superwide format, and the reliable, versatile EFI H652 wide-format machine.

Cavenagh claims the Vutek QS2Pro has raised the bar for quality and productivity. He says, “With it’s super-wide format, ink-saving grey-scale technology, Vutek’s three-layer white and high productivity in a small footprint, this machine can produce up to 93sqm (or 16 boards) an hour and can be switched from flatbed to roll-to-roll operation in less than two minutes.

“The EFI H652 is widely regarded one of the most reliable UV printers on the market, providing value for businesses considering investing in an entry-level machine for UV printing on rigid or roll-to-roll materials. EFI has also sweetened the package for PacPrint visitors by including the impressive Fiery Pro server, an easy to use rip which can handle all production requirements from a single interface.”

These will be complemented by a 64” (1620mm) wide Epson SureColor solvent printer, which has been available for the past six months. Cavenagh says, “The SureColor range has quickly established a name for itself in the solvent printing market with its Eco-Solvent and nickel-free inks, photo quality print, robust construction and high productivity of up to 52 sqm per hour.”
