Digital colour printing of up to 130 ppm

The manufacturer has designed the Xeikon 5000 so that optionally it can be equipped with an extra 5th colour station – without impacting the printing speed. This according to the media used, can be up to 130 ppm A4 for 40 to 170 gsm paper (100 ppm A$ for 170 to 250 gsm paper; 70 ppm A4 for 250 to 350 gsm paper).

Further the Xeikon 5000 can utilise special UV curable toner, which got revised by Xeikon’s R & D. Another implementation is an inline-densitometer for automatic density control, as well as dot gain and highlights. “The development of the Xeikon 5000 had an impact on almost each subsystem in the machine”, Frank Deschuytere explained. Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of potential customers, nearby every aspect of the machine has been newly developed. This refers also to changing and splicing as well as to substrates, the fusing process and the front end, to name just a few.
