KW Doggett Fine Paper has released two new packaging promotions for Chill Board and Hercules Greyback. The boxes are designed to be a functional yet fun way to demonstrate the print qualities and applications for the packaging grades. Both grades are direct food compliant.
The typically clever promotion consists of a box, pad and fortune cookie. KW Doggett says the bold, colourful graphic patterns showcase each stock’s print qualities on both the coated and uncoated sides. The stackable boxes ensure future promotions can be added to the suite. The pad doubles as a mini swatch and lists each products attributes and logos. The cookie adds an element of fun as well as being informative. Complementary to the colour palette, mint (green) was chosen for Chill Board and banana (yellow) for Hercules Greyback. Five fortunes which highlight the products attributes can be found in each promotion. ‘Freeze me baby one more time’ and ‘I want to pop your colour’ appear in the Chill Board mix. ‘Lean on me when you’re not strong’ and ‘I’m a damn smooth operator’ for Hercules Greyback. John Alipan, business development manager – Packaging at Doggett says: “Our new packaging promotions show the two grades as they would look on a retailer’s shelves. The colours pop right at you and the foil finishes off the carton nicely. The structure is clever, with each box able to sit on top of the other. We stock ten packaging grades and plan to roll out more in the same colourful format.” Chill Board is made from pine, giving it strength and rigidity. It’s used to pack heavy weight goods like hardware items and four and six pack holders. Its primary use is as a freezer board, given it’s able to withstand freeze and thaw cycles without deteriorating. Its natural brown reverse looks good and gives it its strength. Alipan says, “Hercules Greyback is an economical board and is made from 100 per cent post-consumer waste recycled fibre, providing the best of both worlds in packaging terms. Its coated side prints beautifully and its light grey back is subtle, neutral and clean, minimising dust and press wash-ups.
