Doggett widens its format

KW Doggett is the last of the big three paper merchants to enter the wide format market, inking a deal to distribute Avery Dennison products in Australia.

The new range includes self-adhesives, banner vinyls, rigid media, paper and boards, synthetics and backlit products, plus self-adhesive sheets for offset and screen printers.

It comes as Doggett’s competitors make significant investments in the growing market they entered last year, with Spicers expanding to soft signage and selling wide format printers, and BJ Ball acquiring Access Paper.

Doggett business development manager Jon Roberts says the new range will suit most wide format print systems and applications, for both indoor and outdoor use.

“The products in our range were chosen by a team with experience and proven industry knowledge, to specifically match the printing requirements of our customers,” he says.

Avery Dennison commercial business manager Jordan Leach says the deal will strengthen the company’s position in the wide format segment as commercial printers look to invest in digital inkjet print technologies.

“The partnership reflects our desire to collaborate with a company that shares our vision,” he says.
