While phone calls to Engelsman were not immediately returned, a spokesman for PaperlinX has confirmed his departure.
“After fairly long discussions, Tom has left PaperlinX. The circumstances of Tom’s departure are private between him and PaperlinX, however, Australian Paper has a strong ongoing management team of many years experience,” the spokesman told i-grafix.
Engelsman joined Australian Paper in 2002 after spending the previous 30 years in Europe and North America, where he followed up his RMIT education with an MBA from MIT in Boston, and, among other appointments, a tenure with Beloit as CEO.
A successor to Engelsman’s position is yet to be named.
