Epson installs 200 SurePress models worldwide

Press supplier Epson has officially installed 200 of its SurePress digital label press units across the globe, doubling its annual sales in less than two years.

The SurePress L4033A models marked Epson’s debut into web-fed label printing, and has been well received both locally and internationally with over 200 sales and installations worldwide.

Notable Australian installations of the Epson press was at Queensland label printer Rotoprint in 2014 and a white ink edition at Tasmania’s Abel Labels in June this year.

Since its Australian debut it has sparked success across North America, Asia and Europe.

Epson first released the L4033A models in 2010, and in 2012 introduced the L4033AW with white ink capability.

The machine is targeted towards short-run digital label printing with the capacity to print material up to 13 inches wide and at speeds of 16 feet per minute.

Surepress uses Epson’s speciality MicroPiezo ink jet technology with six or seven colour options, able to print on a range of materials including gloss, semi-gloss, matte, film, clear and metallic substrates.
