Fairfax launches new arts mag

Fairfax Media is launching a new bi-annual insert Spectrum Magazine to highlight upcoming events on Australia’s performing and visual arts calendar.

Launching this Friday November 4, the magazine will make its debut in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, and on Saturday November 5 in AFR Weekend.

The 36-page, semi-gloss Spectrum Magazine is being printed at the Fairfax site in North Richmond and is expected to reach readership of 857,000 across NSW and Victoria.

Readers can expect the magazine to be packed with comprehensive coverage of the major upcoming cultural events in Melbourne, Sydney and around the nation.

It will also feature news covering classical music to blockbuster musicals, opera, art exhibitions and a month-by-month calendar of performances, gigs and shows.

Fairfax Media head of lifestyle and entertainment, Monique Farmer says, “Inspired by the annual SMH and The Age Arts Guides, Spectrum Magazine leverages the respected Spectrum brand and is a premium, glossy magazine that our audience will hold on to as a valuable source of arts information and inspiration.”
